SUMMARY:Artist Reception - Photographer Jim Wojno: Mary Jo Rines Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Photographer Jim Wojno will host a reception to celebrate his
exhibition in the Mary Jo Rines Gallery of First Parish Church on Sunday\,
February 22\, from 1:00–4:00 PM. Admission is free and open to the
public. Light refreshments will be served.\n\nOn view through April 5\,
Serene Landscapes features painterly color photographs inspired by dramatic
light\, expansive space\, and the spirituality of nature. Drawing on
favorite places he returns to again and again—the American Southwest\,
 Martha’s Vineyard\, Cape Cod\, Hawaii\, Costa Rica\, and Italy—Wojno
combines thoughtful field composition with digital darkroom techniques to
translate the emotional and spiritual experience of a landscape into a
contemplative two-dimensional image. His work invites viewers into
 “silence\, renewal\, mystery\, and awareness of a great life-giving
spirit.”\n\nAdditional work can be viewed in the Mary Jo Rines Virtual
Gallery\, where Wojno shares monochromatic and architecture-inspired
collections alongside Serene Landscapes.\n\nAll photographs in the exhibit
are available for purchase (price list available). Inquiries may be
directed to Larry Grob at 617-817-3123 or lagrob@mac.com for an
introduction to the artist. All images in both the physical and virtual
 galleries may be ordered in a large 28” x 22” format.\n\nWojno is a
member of the Concord Center for the Visual Arts and has been featured in
recent Frances N. Roddy Exhibitions and Members’ shows there. His solo
exhibitions include Bridgewater State College\, South Shore Art Center\,
Parish Center for the Arts\, Lincoln Public Library\, and the Jewish
Community Center. His work has also been shown at the Provincetown Art
Association and Museum and the Boston Center for the Arts\, and he has
received awards from the South Shore Art Center and the Organization for
 the Assabet River.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
