Land’s Sake Farm Pie Baking Workshop

Do you suffer from Pie Anxiety? Does the goal of making a tender, flaky crust seem impossible? Tired of paying for pies that just aren’t that great? The Pie Goddess will show you how! Join acclaimed Pastry Chef Amy Snyder for an action-packed 3-hour pie workshop. Unlock the mysteries of making a fantastic butter crust, from mixing to rolling, to decorating and baking. We’ll bake, sample and share a trio of delicious pies using fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs from Lands Sake. Each student will bring home recipes, techniques, tips and tricks, as well as several finished crusts to tuck in the freezer, ready for your own sweet creations. Bring an apron, comfortable clothes, and be ready for fun!
Amy Snyder Bio:
Pastry Chef Amy Snyder has been baking professionally for 50 years. From her first job at the Black Dog Bakery on Martha’s Vineyard, Snyder has baked for some of the Boston area’s finest restaurants, bakeries and catering kitchens. For many years, Amy loved passing on her knowledge and skill as the Chef Instructor for Baking and Pastry at Keefe Technical School. Known for her fresh, creative versions of classic desserts and love of locally raised ingredients, Snyder is the two-time winner of the James Beard Foundation’s National Dessert Competition People’s Choice Award. She is excited to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with you, through fun, engaging, hands-on baking classes at Land’s Sake Farm.
