DESCRIPTION:Join us for Weston High School Theater Company's 40-Minute\,
 One-Act Winter Play:\nThe Hundred Dresses\nBy Mary Hall Surface\nAdapted
 from the book by Eleanor Estes\n\nWanda Petronski just wants to join the
 fun of having friends like everyone else. But in 1930′s small town
 America\, a Polish immigrant doesn’t easily fit in. When Maddie’s best
 friend Peggy starts to tease Wanda\, Maddie knows it isn’t right. When
 the teasing doesn’t stop\, Maddie is wracked with guilt. She soon
 realizes that allowing her friend to be a bully can be just as bad as
 acting that way herself. Determined not to let her fear get the best of her
 again\, Maddie braves the scorn of her classmates and stands up to them\,
 making an unlikely friend in the process.\n\nPerformances are Thursday\,
 February 26th and Friday\, February 27th at 7pm at Weston High School
 Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. $10 general
 admission\; students 12 and under are free!\n\nThis show is a Theater for
 Young Audiences (TYA) production. TYA is a genre of theatre created and
 designed to engage young people through age-appropriate stories\, themes\,
 and staging. TYA productions often feature clear storytelling\, dynamic
 visuals\, music or movement\, and relatable characters to help young
 audiences connect with the material. While entertaining\, TYA also aims to
 support learning\, empathy\, and imagination. Productions can range from
 playful and fantastical to serious and socially conscious\, but all center
 on the developmental needs\, interests\, and perspectives of young
 audiences.
