Join us at the Golden Ball Tavern Museum on Sunday, October 25th for a tour of Weston’s two oldest cemeteries with Pam Fox of the Weston Historical Society and author of “Farm Town to Suburb: The History and Architecture of Weston, Massachusetts”.

The tour is co-sponsored by Weston Historical Society and The Golden Ball Tavern Museum.

Guests can arrive at the museum’s Visitors Center at 1:45 for light refreshments before an introductory talk at 2 with Pam Fox. Pam will then lead a walk down the Boston Post Road to the Farmers’ Burying Ground and from there to Central Cemetery.

Interesting fact:  Isaac Jones donated the land for Farmer’s Burying Ground and sold 1.5 acres to the town for the creation of Central Cemetery, both in Weston.  An additional acre was purchased from Isaac’s grandsons in 1834. Isaac and many of his family members are buried in Farmer’s Burying Ground. Many important Westonians are also remembered in these parcels.
