It’s 1923 and Sylvia and Beau spent the night in Beau’s mother’s cottage, continuing a 7-year affair that Sylvia decided she doesn’t want to keep secret anymore. She sent a telegram to her husband and also to Beau’s wife to meet them at the cottage so that Sylvia and Beau can finally confess their love and be together always. Unfortunately for Sylvia, Beau is not on board with the plan, but it’s too late to escape, and when his other mistress arrives, followed by her murderous ex-husband, things take a turn for the absurd. Combining the best elements of bedroom farce, slapstick, and screwball comedy, The Cottage is fast-paced and hilarious.
