RESCHEDULED!  –  February 8th, 2-4p.m.

Mark your calendars and save this NEW date, February 8th, 2-4p.m., and make plans to join Weston-Wayland Interfaith Action Group (WWIAG) and the Center for Interfaith Collaboration (CIC) for an afternoon of joyful and uplifting music in the beautiful and idyllic setting at the CIC, 130 Newton Street, Weston, MA 02493. Here is an opportunity to experience music that touches the soul while sharing a sacred space with family, friends, and neighbors.

The music will be provided by the mixed-voice choral ensemble, IN CHORO NOVO, based in Weston and directed by the visionary music professional, Dr. Thérèse Provenzano. She is well known as the past director of music in Weston schools and is currently director of the Weston Community Chorus.

The event is co-sponsored through a partnership between the WWIAG and the CIC. Both of these organizations are dedicated to building stronger and more diverse faith communities by creating wider opportunities to enhance better understanding and relationships between people of different faith traditions and their unique religious practices.

WWIAG was formed over 30 years ago by a group of Weston residents in response to the increasing diversity of the town’s population. We have sponsored educational programs on religious and cultural differences and similarities, and we have served the town as a respected ally and highly valued resource.

The CIC was founded in 2024 through Village Church of Weston and Village Church of Wellesley as a place where people of different faiths and convictions can keep company through empathetic dialogues and actionable solidarity. We gather for worship, collaborate in service, foster understanding through education and public conversation, and advocate together when our neighbor’s dignity is at stake.

IN CHORO NOVO is a member of the Greater Boston Choral Consortium, a cooperative association of choral groups in Boston and the Greater Boston area. They mostly perform a cappella, but for this performance, they will be accompanied by pianist Paul Huberdeau, a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music. He currently teaches at Regis College.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome!
