“Chinese Calligraphy & Painting” is the June exhibit at the Weston library’s art gallery. It’s a group show by the Lanting Calligraphy Assembly in the Greater Boston Area. Founded in 2012, the group celebrates the culture inheritance of traditional brush calligraphy and beautiful Chinese ink painting. Its student-members take classes and practice to improve their skills and artistry. Art works in the exhibit encompass five styles of calligraphy, covering a broad range of subjects, including ancient poems and astronomical terms.
