Readings of the Declaration of Independence, Sunday September 13, 12 noon in front of First Parish Church and 2 pm on the porch at the Josiah Smith Tavern
Tavern Stroll, Sunday, September 13, 12:00 to 4:00. Begin with a visit to the Golden Ball Tavern Museum. Stroll begins at the Golden Ball at 1:00 pm, led by George Washington, Paul Revere on his horse, Abigail Adams, and other revolutionary-era figures. Stop at the historic Burgoyne Elm and continue to the Josiah Smith Tavern, where there will be Colonial games and entertainments, a Magic Lantern show, Declaration of Independence reading at 2 pm, as well as food, local arts and crafts, and horse-drawn carriage rides.
