The Weston Garden Club Evening Group is delighted to announce that we’ll be hosting author Elise Howard at the Weston Public Library on Thursday, September 24th from 6:30-7:30. This event is free and open to the public!
What’s a native plant, anyway?
Plant This, Not That begins there, establishes some key principles of gardening with native plants, and then offers specific suggestions for native plants in your region that can fill the places now taken up by familiar, but less-beneficial plants.
Elise Howard will discuss her comprehensive guide to replacing non-native garden plants with native alternatives that support local pollinators and ecosystems, featuring 200+ plant swaps with detailed requirements.
Elise’s book, Plant This, Not That, will also be available for purchase, courtesy of Wellesley Books.
