Boston and the state of Massachusetts have many historical connections to chocolate
including being the home of the first chocolate factory in North America,
the first roadside retail confectionery operation, and the first forays into
commercial white chocolate production.
MA is the birthplace of many beloved desserts and treats and the resting place of the famed Fannie Farmer.
Learn more about our sweet history with local chocolate educator Victoria Kichuk of Cocoa Beantown.
The latter portion of the program will feature a guided tasting of local chocolates.
