New Exhibit in the Mary Jo Rines Gallery
“My Work. Narratively Seen” paintings and prints by Larry Grob
Through June 30, 2026
The Mary Jo Rines Gallery at First Parish Church in Weston welcomes artist and Weston resident Larry Grob for an exhibit that combines visual art and narrative commentary. On view through June 30, My Work. Narratively Seen features works that capture the light, texture, and character of a range of landscapes from near and far while offering insight into the dialogue Grob experiences while creating each piece.
A pastel artist with the sensibility of a geographer, Grob is drawn to the essence of place – its origin, structure, ecology, and trajectory. His work explores not only landscapes, but also the lives and histories embedded within them. Trees, forests, and natural forms become subjects with stories of endurance, beauty, and transformation.
Grob’s work has earned him recognition from the Pastel Society of America, the International Association of Pastel Societies, and various professional arts associations. In the New England area, Larry participates in exhibitions at the Codman Estate Fine Art Festival (Lincoln, MA), The Rockport Art Association & Museum, the North Shore Arts Association (Gloucester), the Concord Art Association, and Crane Estate Art Show (Ipswich). Grob teaches workshops in studio and plein air pastels.
Original work in this exhibit is for sale. If a piece interests you, please contact Larry Grob at (617-817-3123 or lagrob@mac.com).
The Mary Jo Rines Gallery is free and open to the public 10:30am – 4pm weekdays, and 9:30am-12:30pm Sundays.
