Join Weston Conservation Staff and WFTA volunteers as we brush back and clear out vegetation from the Merriam Barn Ruins Historic Site- this has been an annual tradition since 2022.
Built in 1876, the Merriam Barn was the largest of its kind in New England and we are committed to preserving its remaining stone foundation for visitors to explore. Volunteers should expect to pull and cut-back vines and other vegetation growth that are growing within and around the old foundation.
Park and meet at the Community Gardens on Merriam St- we will then cross the street to the barn site.
