Join us for a smashing good time at the 6th Annual Great Pumpkin Smash at Codman Community Farms! This family-friendly event is all about having fun while also making a positive impact on our planet.
Why Smash Your Pumpkins?
Did you know that composting your Halloween pumpkins can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions? When pumpkins end up in landfills, they break down and produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. Don’t let your Halloween creations meet this grim fate! Give them the chance at a second life by recycling them into soil!
Prepare your pumpkins for smashing by removing any stickers, candles, and other decorations. Please leave your painted pumpkins at home. Suggested donation of $1 per pumpkin to benefit our host, Codman Community Farms.
We’ll have refreshments and snacks available for purchase in the pavilion throughout the event including wood fired cheese or pepperoni pizza from 12-2pm or until be sell out!
