Cambridge Society for Early Music is proud to present Arrow Quartet, an up-and-coming string quartet founded in 2021 by students from Juilliard’s Historical Performance program, in a program featuring string quartets from the Classical period. Viennese Impressions centers around Mozart’s String Quartet in E-flat major, K. 428, one of six quartets Mozart dedicated to his mentor Joseph Haydn, often referred to as “the father of the string quartet.” From there, the program explores works by the lesser-known Guiseppe Cambini and Franz Xaver Richter, both prolific and popular composers in their time, who made important contributions to the development of the string quartet genre.
Spend your Memorial Day weekend with CSEM, Arrow Quartet, and some beautiful music! Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can, and can be reserved ahead here.
