
Come celebrate National Bike Month and join us for the 2nd annual WCCA Family Bike Rodeo. We will have helmet fitting with the Weston Police, e-bike demonstrations, AIC fix-it-first crew to tune up bikes, storytime, bike decorating and parade and so much more!
Bring your bikes, helmets, and reusable water bottles!
We welcome whatever your kids are riding: 2-wheelers, balance bikes, tricycles, etc!
Included activities:
- helmet and bike decorating
- a certified cycling instructor will be running an obstacle course and will help teach parents how to teach bike riding
- helmet fittings with a community safety officer from the Weston Police Department
- Bike storytime with a Weston Public Library librarian at 10am
- Cargo and e-bike test rides available for parents (parents- don’t forget your helmets!)
- Used bike swap- bring bikes your kids have outgrown, take a bike in the next size up**
- AIC fix-it-first will be on-site to help with minor bike repairs and tune-ups
- Bike safety with the Tigers den of the Weston Cub Scouts
- PTO green team will be discussing the Safe Routes to School
- WFTA will be discussing their Junior Rangers program
- Bike parade to show off your decorated bikes and your new skills at 10:30am
** leftover bikes will be donated to an organization called the Bike Connector that fixes up bikes and donates them to kids in need.
