Massachusetts voters will once again have the option to vote early by mail in all 2026 elections—no excuse required. This expanded access makes it easier for residents to participate in the democratic process while fitting voting into their schedules.
The Town Clerk’s Office encourages Weston voters to review the steps below to ensure their ballot is requested, completed, and returned on time.
How to Vote by Mail in 2026
- Apply for your ballot Voters can request a vote‑by‑mail application through their local election office or online. Submitting your application early ensures you receive your ballot as soon as it becomes available.
- Already applied? If you’ve already submitted your application, your ballot will be mailed to you once ballots are ready for distribution.
- Fill out your ballot Follow all instructions carefully to ensure your vote is counted. This includes signing the envelope where required and completing all sections accurately.
- Return your ballot You may mail your ballot back or drop it off at an approved local drop box or municipal building. Returning your ballot early helps avoid postal delays.
